Frequently Asked Questions

What if I forgot to copy the shared link?

You need to create a new secret. We can't retrieve it for you.

How long will the secret be available?

The secret link will be available for a maximum of 10 days or until it's viewed. You can create a link for a shorter period of time using the Advanced options.

What happens when I burn a secret?

Burning a secret will delete it before it has been read. If you send someone a secret link and burn the secret before they view it, they will not be able to read it. In fact, it will look to them like the secret never existed at all.

What are passkeys?

Passkeys are a type of authentication method used to verify a user's identity. They are usually a sequence of characters such as letters, numbers, and symbols that are entered by the user to gain access to a system or device. Passkeys are commonly used in combination with usernames to create a unique login credential for each user. They provide an additional layer of security to protect sensitive information and prevent unauthorized access.

What are password generators?

These passwords are designed to be difficult to guess or crack, and are often used to enhance the security of online accounts, applications, and devices. Password generators typically use a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols to create passwords that are difficult to guess or brute-force. They can be used to generate a single password or a list of passwords for multiple accounts. Password generators are often recommended by security experts as a way to improve the strength and security of passwords.
